Wellness Retreat: a day in the life

Let me give you a little sprinkle of what it’s like to be on one of our Wellness Retreats. Everyday feels and looks different on retreat, but here’s an example of what you can expect…

Every morning, I love the girls to rise with the sun. It’s the most magical part of the day, when the world seems a little more still and quiet. It gives a sense of a blank page - their minds are fresh and they’re more receptive.

The girls pour their morning elixir and walk down to the yoga dome, often glowing with the morning light behind it. We start each day with a ritual; consisting of meditation, pranayama and introspection through the form of guided journalling. We then move energy through the body through a heat building power vinyasa before settling into shavasana. Energised and ready for the day ahead, we head back up to the house to be greeted by our beautiful chefs Tash & Tom who have created the most delicious breakfast imaginable. Think avocado with sprouts, fresh fruit salad with coconut yoghurt and homemade granola and sourdough from the local baker.

After we’ve digested, we head back into the dome for a sculpt session led by one of our pilates instructors. This extra dose of movement is always optional and some girls choose to go for a long meditative walk amongst the trees instead. From here, the girls are left to their own devices; swimming in the freshwater pool, reading a self-help book, using the boathouse sauna & ice bath, napping under one of the magnificent oak trees and engaging in a meaningful conversation with their new-found sisters.

Optional wellness treatments are available to the girls who are craving that extra splash of indulgent; perhaps a detoxifying facial, deep tissue massage or Accupuncture. These sessions are truly unique. You feel as if you’re in the middle of the forest, listening to the soundscape of the birds and transported to a place of deep restoration.

In the early evening, we may meet back in the dome for a more intimate content sessions. Every retreat has a different purpose or underlying objective. From this, our workshops take place. Our sessions could cover topics such as Manifestation, how to work with the Full Moon, Female Empowerment, Astrology & Tarot etc. I love watching the girls leave these sessions with curiosity in their eyes, and a deeper understanding of themselves.

As the sun begins to set, we embark on our evening routine. Think yin yoga, deep meditation, sound baths and tapping into our gentleness. After we’re feeling completely relaxed and lengthened, we eat dinner as a family at the table or by the fire. By the end of the day, we’re ready to be tucked into bed relatively early. Falling asleep to our book, or the sounds of the cicadas outside, ready to wake up refreshed for another day of pure wellness.

I can’t wait for you to experience their magic.

Big love,

Jess
