Hormone Help

The topic a lot of us often shove to the bag of our minds, because ignorance is bliss. Unfortunately the general consensus seems to be that as females, we know very little about our hormones and cycles. Luckily for us, there is a wealth of knowledge and resources that have popped up recently to help fill in all the blanks we’ve been missing for majority of our lives. If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent majority of your cycle on birth control and have absolutely know clue what the word follicular means. I have very recently begun embarking on my cycle journey coming off birth control and am determined to connect with my body, listen to it’s patterns and begin learning how to work WITH my hormones, rather than against.

From what i’ve consumed thus far, there’s no cookie cutter fit and nothing will change overnight. It’s an ongoing discovery and journey of self reflection, awareness and education. Listed below are some resources that may help you along your journey so you can in turn become the most balanced, intuitive and connected self:

  • Period Queen - Lucy Peach

  • Beyond The Pill - Dr Jolene Brighten

  • Wild Power - Alexandra Pope

  • We Are Dancing For You - Cutcha Baldy

  • Period Repair Manual - Dr Laura Briden

  • Women Who Run With The Wolves - Clarissa Pinkola Estes

  • Fight Like A Girl - Clementine Ford

  • The Optimised Woman - Miranda Gray

If you have any other recommendations or resources, please let me know! Happy learning my loves xxx
