Journal Prompts

Dear angels,

One thing we can control right now is the state of our minds. When we have a little extra time on our hands, one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is the gift of Svadhyaya, which translates to self-study. Getting to know the inner-workings of your mind gives you the power to control how positive you are throughout your day, how you react to circumstances and conversations and ultimately shapes your reality.

Whatever you’re going through at the moment, know that these journal prompts are always here for you. You don’t have to do them in any particular order or in any particular way. Personally, I would work through 1or 2 of these questions a day after a meditation, morning or night. Journalling should not feel forced or like a chore, do it when you feel called to and try not to overthink it.

  • What are 10 things you are grateful for in your life right now?

  • What comes to mind when you think of the word peace?

  • How would you describe your inner dialogue at the moment?

  • What is your experience with anxiety? Describe the symptoms, memories, your story with it right now. Then make a list of when you feels these. Essentially, create a list of triggers. Ask yourself, how can I minimise and control these triggers over the next week. Experiment with yourself.

  • What are 3 things that come to mind when you think of fear?

  • What is your earliest memory of joy?

  • Your ideal career? Forget about money. Just detail everything that comes to mind.

  • What is stopping you from pursuing your ideal career?

  • Wherever and whatever age you are in your life, what do you know to be the ABSOLUTE truth?

Share this with someone who you think you benefit from delving inwards. I am always here if you need to chat about your answers to these prompts, how you're feeling in general or if you have any questions.

Stay healthy and safe, in your body and mind.

All my love,

Jess
